Bungalow house plans have been an American favorite since the early 1900s and still are very popular, even today. Bungalow homes are normally 1 to 1 and 1-half stories and feature sloping roofs, a gable centered over the main living area, and eaves. Usually, a bungalow style house is composed of brick, stone, stucco, horizontal siding, or wood shingles. These homes also feature a front porch, some larger bungalows have an L-shaped porch that wraps around one side of the home. The interior of a bungalow style house has partially high ceilings and the living room usually features a large opening into the dining area.
